Position Summary:

As Director of Strategic Alliances, you’ll lead the creation and execution of the DeepSee partner strategy.  You will work closely with our Marketing, Sales, Business Development and Product teams to identify, engage, secure, and activate alliances that advance our corporate strategy in unique and powerful ways.  You will run point on these partner engagements through the entire partnership lifecycle, and will provide regular updates on progress and performance to your internal partners, executive leadership, and the board of directors.


Your primary success metrics will be the financial contributions made by the new customers you secure and close.  Everything you do is designed to deliver those results, both in the near- and long-term.  Supporting this is a system of OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) that we use to run our business.  You’ll have clarity around the most important things upon which to focus, the results you expect to achieve, and where you stand in real-time.

Key Responsibilities: 


  • Ensuring that the DeepSee alliances practice performance objectives are achieved 
  • Evangelizing the DeepSee vision for PaaS and KPA, as well as our products and services 
  • Identifying opportunities through partners and bringing them into the sales pipeline 
  • Building and executing sales and marketing strategies to engage partners and drive opportunities 
  • Developing business plans with each partner and ensuring their successful execution 
  • Maintaining and expanding a network of contacts within the capital markets and insurance verticals
  • Coordinating with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Regularly meeting with the heads of the Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to discuss progress, issues, and any significant developments
  • Reviewing contracts and analyzing financial justification for alliance
  • Providing interpretation of contract terms and communicating contract details and requirements with management
  • Designing, arranging and completing contracts to achieve program and contract objectives
  • Analyzing the company’s product performance in the capital markets and insurance verticals and researching for new trends
  • Monitoring and managing schedules and deadlines specified in the contract
  • Maintaining alliance with strategic partners and developing/modifying sales strategy
  • Building relationships with alliance partners and developing business globally
  • Preparing strategic sales and marketing plans
  • Reviewing financial performance of alliances, reporting to management, and modifying plans as necessary

Desired Skills, Education & Experience:

  • Strong track record of leading alliance efforts, preferably in a SaaS or PaaS environment
  • Ability to create and manage multiple partnerships in parallel, and ensuring that each is operating efficiently and tracking to their financial objective
  • Superior communication skills, including the ability to speak on webinars and at conferences 
  • Ability to build rapport, create connections, and drive engagement with partners 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to proactively seek out solutions and opportunities 
  • BA/BS undergraduate degree
  • 5+ years of experience in an alliances management role
